About Me
My name is Emma. I was born in 1996 and have always lived and worked within the Birmingham and Sandwell areas. I am a mother to a 5 year old boy.
I started worked with children not long after leaving school where I did my level 2 and 3 childcare qualification as an apprenticeship, I then continued working in nurseries whilst gaining my degree in early childhood - I have 7 years working with the ages 3 months to 5 years.
In August 2022, I made the decision to leave my job at a nursery to become a Ofsted Registered Childminder not only to fit around my home life better but also to share my love of childcare with a smaller scale of children and families in a home from home setting where I can form bonds and partnerships and also have an impact of the development, love and care that the children receive.
My setting is a home from home setting. We have lots of love and laughter here. I use one room for all activities - I have a role play kitchen and mark making table out at all times, a tuff tray set out with an activity to explore then free flow play for all other toys/play such as lego, puzzles, threading, trains and much more.
As we do not have a garden, we like to go out to get fresh air and explore - we like to take trips to the park for walks and to explore the area whilst also using the play equipment. Dartmouth Park, Sandwell Valley, Forge mill, Trehurst Avenue play area are just a few to name.
Over the next year I will begin a new journey of Hygge in the Early Years Accreditation
